1940's Kitchen

I have been looking forward to harvesting the wild berries growing in my backyard this year.  It looks like it will be a bumper crop.  But as much fun as harvesting can be ( just think of Sal from the book "Blueberries For Sal") I will still have to prepare them.  Luckily, I have several items that could have been in Sal's 1948 kitchen that still look and work great today.

                                          Vintage Embroidered Apron

                                          Atlas Canning Jars
                                          Colbalt Blue Strainer

                                           Glasbake Pie Plate

  1. I just love bluberries, we have bilbery or winberry which grow wild here in the UK, its a smaller version of the US blueberry.

  2. I love berries, too. We have lots of blackcurrants in our garden and try and get to them before the blackbirds!

Beautiful vintage kitchen items. The preserving jars are wonderful. :)
