Knitting patterns using mohair

Definition of Mohair -
A silk like yarn made from the hair of the Angora Goat. 

Did You Know -
The Angora Goat is thought to originate from the mountains of Tibet.
Mohair was known in England as early as the 8th century
Until 1849 Ankara in Turkey was the sole producer of Angora Goats.
Today South Africa is the largest mohair producer in the world

 Mohair is ideal for chunky jumpers, cardigans coats and jackets. Mohair has great insulating properties making it warm in Winter. Mohair should not be confused with the fur from from the  Angora Rabbit which is called Angora Wool.
