This week I have three lots of vintage metal buttons to show you. The first is a silver tone, two-piece construction metal button featuring a raised beetle. The raised areas have been highlighted with a dark lacquer or paint. This button costs £2.50 from Love Buttons HQ, or a similar one costs $3.95 from Etsy.
Next are a set of five Bank of England buttons, featuring the figure of Britannia with a tiny bee hive in the background. The buttons are backmarked with the maker's details:- "J Morgan & Co" "5 Albemarle St W". This set of five buttons costs £10.00 from Love Buttons HQ.
Finally, a set of four gorgeous limpet shell-shaped buttons in a gold tone metal with a wash of white lacquer or paint. They have a textured finish and long metal shanks on the reverse. This set of three large and one smaller button costs £5.50 from Love Buttons HQ.
