shabby chic sunburst buttons

Here we have a really gorgeous set of four shabby chic vintage pearly coated glass buttons.
These beauties are straight from the button box uncleaned with a patina of age
the pearly coating is flaking off in places adding to their shabby chicness in my opinion
if you wanted you could easily remove the remaining paint.
i think these shank back buttons would look gorgeous in jewellery
fantastic as a finishing touch to a antique lace cuff
great on altered art
so many ways to use these buttons, but i wouldn't recommend using them on a washable garment.
the buttons measure approx. 0.75" and come presented to you on a sturdy handmade button card measuring approx. 5" x 2.5" embellished with a vintage fabric button.

available now in my Etsy shop

The second photo shows an extra large single button with black grid and amethyst, sapphire, copper and glitter decoration. This one is priced at £3.00. It would look stunning on a handmade bag or purse.

These beauties are decorated with a pattern called 'Galaxy' in amethyst and bronze with glitter accents. They cost £5.50 for a set of six buttons.

All of the buttons are machine washable. They would really add an eye-catching finishing touch to any handmade project.

Favourite item found while browsing

While browsing www.specialistauctions.com i came across this fabulous antique pitcher, alas way out of my price range.

Antique Moser Green to Clear Gilt engraved Pitcher

A beautiful little piece of antique Bohemian art glass. Unsigned, but almost certainly Moser. This little pitcher has the trademark green fading to clear color with engraved decor which is then gilded - even the tiny little dots and crosses are engraved! It has a four lobed shape, with ground and polished bottom and is 4 inches tall. There are no chips or cracks and there is only minimal wear to the gold on the lip only.
This is a lovely piece of old art glass, and is unusual as well; I have not been able to locate another like it!
